CGPD: Saying goodbye to K9 Dallas (7/24/20)VIDEO COURTESY OF THE CAPE GIRARDEAU POLICE DEPARTMENT: Friends and colleagues from around the area gathered in support for Patrolman Steiner and to say their goodbyes to K9 Dallas before he was put to rest. Dallas was recently diagnosed with acute non-compressive nucleus pulposus extrusion which caused spinal failure and left Dallas in a constant state of discomfort and pain. Dallas will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor to work with and/or the privilege to meet him. Thank you for your service.

Broadway floodgate reopened (7/22/19)Cape Girardeau public works employees reopened the Mississippi River floodgate at Broadway on Monday, July 22, 2019, after keeping it closed for over four months. Although the walkways at Riverfront Park are now open, city officials discouraged residents from accessing the area until crews can cleanup mud and flood debris.

Robinson's release (5/15/18)This video documents the emotional roller coaster during David Robinson's final day in prison, as his attorneys fight the Missouri Department of Corrections for his release. Monday was a long day for David Robinson's family. They left Sikeston at 8 a.m., and were in Jefferson City when word came from the Missouri Attorney General's Office that it was recommending dismissal of charges, effectively ending the state's legal fight in Robinson's exoneration.
